Overview

Baihe Children's Park covers an area of approximately 5,000 square meters and is located in Baojing County, Xiangxi, Hunan. It was originally an abandoned park infested with snakes, insects, and rodents, severely affecting the lives of nearby residents. In recent years, Baojing County has combined the renovation of old neighborhoods with urban development and leading industries, actively revitalizing existing resources. The Baihe Park has been upgraded and transformed into Baojing County's first public children's theme park.

Design Concept

The design theme continues the original park name "Baihe Park," incorporating elements of the white crane as the park's theme. It integrates the living habits, physical characteristics, sounds, and habitat of white cranes into the playground design, considering the combination of safety functions and low-cost operational management, creating a theme-focused, child-friendly, non-motorized playground.

Functional Zones

The non-motorized play area is divided into four zones: Crane Resting Shallows, Crane Nesting Forest, Crane Dance in the Woods, and Crane Calls in the Wild.

Crane Resting Shallows: Designed for younger children, it features sand pits, seesaws, and desert oases. The low-structure material—sand—provides ample space for children's imagination. With no fixed shapes or functions, it can be freely combined and used.

Crane Nesting Forest: A jungle-themed play area for older children, featuring skywalks, climbing nets, slides, climbing frames, and swings. This setup promotes physical activity, allowing children to expend their energy.

Crane Dance in the Woods: This thematic equipment area consists of three differently shaped white cranes: one holds a small fish in its beak, another is foraging, and the last is gazing upward. These representations vividly depict the alert nature of white cranes. The cranes' wings transform into slides, climbing nets, and ladders, blending play functions with artistic landscapes to create a space for both fun and fitness.

Crane Calls in the Wild: Designed for children of all ages, this area features an interesting reed maze, a cute bird climbing structure, sound tubes, percussion instruments, an educational science area, and creative walls for photo opportunities, ensuring enjoyment for both kids and adults alike.
